Stillwell Society Schomburg Tour
Location: Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture - New York Public Library, 515 Malcolm X Blvd, New York, NY 10037
BSA President John T. McQuillen invites members of the Margaret B. Stillwell Legacy Society to a special sneak preview tour of Arturo Schomburg’s foundational collection, led by guest curator Dr. Laura Helton, winner of BSA’s 2026 Mercantile Library Prize, coinciding with the New York Book Fair.
A charter bus will transport attendees from the Park Avenue Armory at 1:30 PM for a 2:00 tour. (Attendees are also welcome to use their own transportation to join.) Additional time is provided to view the Centennial exhibit. The bus will return to the Grolier Club for a short happy hour following.

“To Uncover and Reveal to The World: Arturo Schomburg’s Library” features selections from Schomburg’s personal collection of nearly 3,000 volumes, 1,100 pamphlets, and valuable prints and manuscripts, curated by Helton as part of the Schomburg Center’s centenary.
